Our approach to construction dispute resolution grew out of John Donley’s training as an expert witness. In 1982, John’s mentor and a very experienced contractor, Everett Murphy, taught him to listen to his senses. He learned to familiarize himself with a building by making records and forming opinions based on the data. Murphy said, “You saw it, you touched it, you measured it, you took photos of it, or you don’t know. Based on what you saw, you are entitled to have an opinion.”
